WE SEEK TO BE A LOVING COMMUNITY
That supports all people in finding the love of Christ
WELCOME TO FAITH
Here at Faith United Methodist Church, we have a simple hope: to love God, love each other, and provide a safe place for all to grow their Christian faith.

The Sacredness of Community
Community matters. Community is biblical. Community is a reflection of God. Within God, we experience the Three in One, the Trinity. Divine mystery! God is community! God invites us into the Divine community, into the Divine dance. “Divine love is the energy that brought the universe into being and binds it together. Human love is

It is not a secret that we, as a family, love to hike. Deborah and I would hike everyday, if we were able, and schedules would permit. Our children enjoy exploring, but sometimes they’re not “feeling” the desire to hike. Mostly, when they’re not “feeling” like hiking, they’re actually saying we want to explore new

This past weekend many celebrated the July 4th holiday. However, many found it hard to celebrate, and sadly some lost their lives as they attended an event, ready to celebrate. Freedom is a familiar cry in America. There are people who claim that America is a place where freedom is everywhere and available for all. While

This past Sunday, around 30 people gathered for lunch. We affirmed the exciting things that have occurred at Faith, and on the Eastside, over this past year. Also, we talked about the faithful ways the Faith community has served neighbors, over a long history. Additionally, we discussed the value of considering what our legacy will be. What

This past Sunday we celebrated Pentecost, and I know you were blessed by Pastor Rick’s preaching. The weeks leading up to Pentecost, we talked about the promised Spirit. The Spirit that came upon the early church, enthusing them to create a beloved community, and to reach out into the world sharing the love of Christ (Acts 1:8).

In many ways this feels like a season of growth, and new life. There is new life being formed and nurtured on the Faith grounds, with the beginning of our relationship with Indy Urban Acres. I for one, certainly cannot wait to see the first signs of food and plant life growing from our soil.

You may catch me staring at the field area at Faith UMC, during this season of life 🙂 Even in the midst of what has been a busy season for me, these past few days I have taken a few moments to walk around the field at church. This space is being transformed into a

friends, In times and seasons when there is significant news breaking, or we feel like we’re in a constant news cycle, we can quickly forget that we belong to one another. By now, you are likely aware of the news that broke last night, regarding Roe v Wade, and that it soon will be coming back to

It’s Tuesday evening, and I’m sitting in the newly created church lounge. In essence, the church lounge is a reimagined room. Over the past several months at Faith UMC, we have talked about reimagining. So far, our reimagining work has created a new prayer space, the lounge I’m sitting in, and other rooms that are
